Manually Exporting Files *2.0 Beta*

Purpose

The manual data export feature copies selected files from their existing storage location(s) to a selected storage location. The exported files will be written in their native data format. Manual data export can be used to migrate your files between storage systems, to create a copy of files in a specific storage location, or to extract your data and review the files when they are stored in the Aparavi data format (which is stored securely using encryption, compression and segmentation).

The system allows for exporting of an unlimited number of files from the platform into specified locations.

Overview

  • Exporting Files After File Search
  • Exporting Files from Navigation Tree

Exporting Files After File Search

1. Click on the Files Tab, located in the top navigation menu.

Files Tab

2. Perform any file search using the three query parameters and click the Search button to obtain the desired file results for export.

3. Select the checkbox(es) located to the left of the file name(s) to select the file(s) for export. The checkbox for selected files will appear with an orange background color to indicate that they are selected. When files appear in the file results without a checkbox to select for export, this indicates that the user has permissions to view the file but does not have the permissions to export it.
